I am pleased to share with you the outcomes of our recent Ofsted inspection. The report celebrates the many strengths of Nether Green Junior School, highlighting our commitment to providing a supportive and nurturing environment where every child can thrive. Inspectors praised the dedication of staff in fostering a culture of high expectations, positive behaviour, and inclusivity. They also recognised the incredible efforts made for ensuring that high quality provision is in place for pupils with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND), which enriches our school community and promotes inclusivity.
The inspection delved deeply into key areas, including Behaviour and Attitudes, Safeguarding, and Leadership and Management. Ofsted commended the children for their excellent attitudes, resilience, and respect for one another, noting the calm and orderly environment created by our consistent routines. The inspectors were impressed by the breadth of our curriculum, the focus on personal development and the diverse opportunities available to pupils – from pupil-led assemblies to enriching cultural activities. The school’s commitment to fostering a love of learning and helping all pupils succeed, including those at the earlier stages of reading or developing key skills, was also celebrated.
Our leadership and staff were recognised for their efforts to maintain a culture of support and collaboration, ensuring both pupils and staff are well-supported. Whilst the report highlighted improving writing fluency as an area to further develop, it also acknowledged the impact of recent initiatives that are already being seen. We are incredibly proud of the school’s achievements and of our pupils and staff, who make Nether Green Junior School such a special place to learn and grow.
